CRA Online Mail: How to View Your CRA Letters in My Account

With electronic mail turned on, most CRA notices and letters go to your CRA account instead of Canada Post, and you get an email when something new arrives. Change the setting under Profile, then Notification Preferences.

Where to find your letters

Select the mail icon for your Individual account, or open the account and look under Correspondence. Online mail can't be deleted. Some documents may still come by post.

Changed your email address? Update your Notification preferences too, or the alerts go to the old address.

Step by step

  1. Sign in to your CRA account and select your Individual account.
  2. On the Overview page, select Profile.
  3. Go to Notification Preferences and select Edit, then Start.
  4. Confirm your email address and select or unselect Electronic mail.
  5. Select Next, confirm the Terms of use, and Submit.
