How to Register for CRA My Business Account
Business owners sign in to their CRA account and select Business account from the Welcome page. You need your 9-digit business number and your SIN linked to it. Accountants and employees use Represent a Client instead.
What you can do in My Business Account
- Manage GST/HST, payroll, corporation income tax, excise taxes and excise duties
- View and pay your balance
- Set up direct deposit
- Arrange payments for tax debts of $1,000 or more
- View online mail (most business mail is online by default)
Step by step
- Sign in to your CRA account (or register first).
- Select Business account on the Welcome page.
-
Enter your 9-digit business number (BN).
Not a 10-digit Québec Enterprise Number (NEQ) or an Ontario Business Identification Number (BIN).
-
Link your SIN to the BN if it isn't already.
You may be asked whether you have filed a GST/HST or T2 return, and for details from an assessed return.
- Accept the terms and conditions if asked.
