CRA My Account: Limited Access vs Full Access
Until your identity is verified, CRA My Account gives limited access: tax return status, RRSP and TFSA room, notices of assessment and notification preferences. Full access, needed to apply for benefits or change personal information, comes after the document verification service or your mailed security code.
With limited access you can
- View your tax return status
- View your RRSP deduction limit and TFSA contribution room
- View notices of assessment and reassessment
- View notification preferences
- Request a remittance voucher and create a pre-authorized debit agreement
Full access adds
Services such as applying for benefits and updating your personal information. Registering with a provincial partner (Alberta or B.C.) gives full access straight away.
